Personality: Adam Parrish is both covetous and ambitious. For the longest time, his base drives were the desire to be able not to worry about money and to leave Virginia and never come back. He worked hard on his academics, obtaining a partial scholarship to the prestigious Aglionby Academy and works multiple jobs to pay for the remaining tuition. The other driving force behind his work ethic and desire to get out of the state is a rather abusive home life.

As it escalates, during a confrontation with his abusive father Adam is left deaf in one ear and is left with choices that he finds difficult to live with: accept charity from his rich friend or remain in the situation. Instead, he is able to come up with a third solution renting a small room, working three jobs to prepare for paying for it and his schooling. Adam's stubborn and prideful to a fault and unwilling to accept help even when in it is with the best intentions because he is determined that he needs to make it on his own. Any help would devalue his own hard work. He also carries the suspicion that any help comes with a price tag and gives people power over him.

Adam's dedication and loyalty to people he cares for is also unshakable. While he will not accept help he is always willing to lend whatever he can to the problems that might arise. He sacrifices himself to a magical forest because he is intent on the best outcomes for his friends regardless of any possible consequences for himself.

Despite this, Adam is a very cautious person who is extremely concerned with how people perceive him. His opinions of himself vary widely but he often thinks of himself as unknowable and unattractive. He can be quite obsessive trying to discern how others -- whether they are his friends, acquaintances or strangers -- perceive him. Due, most likely, to the tumultuous and abusive upbringing he had, he does not find himself worthy of love and is often suspicious of what people want.

His tendency to be suspicious nature extends to how he behaves with his friends, advising them to be cautious of who they tell things to because not everyone can be trusted. He can be quite shy and introverted but is more guarded and unwilling to make himself look foolish than overtly shy.

Contracts: Adam would eagerly sign the contract even if he's a bit skeptical. He's sensible enough to know that he does not want to remain where he is and this would be the most logical step to getting back to the people he cares about. He'll have every intention to fulfill whatever's required of him.

Abilities/Skills: Adam is a magician. After sacrificing free will, his hands and eyes over to a magical forest called Cabeswater he gained heightened psychic and magical abilities. He's able to sense disruptions in the flow of the ley lines (strong currents of energy, both electromagnetic and mystical) and uses scrying (seeing into another time and/or place using a reflective surface) and his tarot deck to work out how to fix them.
